This is a reply to a woman who communicated with me recently about problems she is having with her fertility treatment… I’ll add her question.
Q/
Hello doctor… its really nice information…
Actually i have the same PCOS problem…
… my doctor has given me clomide and 1 injection also, but i had a period after that… so she called me again and did normal scanning and repeated the same thing.
Is she going in a correct way – my weight is 66 kg and height is 153.7 cm
Do u think i will get pregnant… i am getting afraid day-by-day. I’m doing so much exercise also but still my weight is the same.
What should i do???
Please help me…

Hi
Thank you for your question.
You are on the correct treatment with Clomiphene Citrate and it appears you are ovulating as you had a period, but unfortunately did not conceive with that treatment cycle.
I understand you are feeling frightened by not getting pregnant but sometimes Clomid may take 6 treatment cycles … that means 6 months.
Your doctor is doing everything right and monitoring you with scans checking the follicle growth, so hang in there.
Your body mass index (BMI) is 27.94 so almost 28.
I know it can be hard sometimes loosing that weight. Try going on a low carbohydrate high protein diet, because if you could lose more weight… that means dropping from 66kg to 59kg… your chances of pregnancy could be quicker.
Shortly I will be having a fertility diet book on my site to help women like yourself.
I wish you all the best
